Remona, a 20-year-old student from St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, has been passionate about Bharatanatyam since the age of three. Under the guidance of her Guru Shrividya Muralidhar, Remona mastered the intricate art of Bharatanatyam. She is also a recipient of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (2022), awarded for her contribution to Indian arts.

🏆 The Journey to a 170-Hour Dance Marathon
Achieving a dance marathon of 170 hours was not easy. Remona trained for months, building her stamina and mental strength. She practiced Bharatanatyam daily, followed a healthy diet, and prepared herself mentally for the challenge.
The record attempt started on July 21, 2025, at St. Aloysius College’s LCRI Auditorium, Mangaluru. For seven straight days, Remona danced through fatigue, body aches, and sleepless nights. Guinness guidelines allowed her 15 minutes of rest every 3 hours, which she used to refresh and hydrate herself.
She performed a variety of dance items including:
